How we can care for you in your own home

Our Home Care offer means that you are able to stay in your own home and receive high-quality care in a familiar and safe environment. With support from our highly trained and experienced care staff, you will be able to remain as independent as possible and be cared for in the way that you choose.

We will work with you to determine the amount of care that you require, the times that you would like your visits to take place and even match you with carers who share similar interests.

We look forward to working with you and the people who support you, whether that’s family, friends or professionals.

  • Our carers will support you with all of your personal care needs, whether it be:

    • Assisting you with getting undressed and dressed into the clothes of your choice

    • Assisting with a full body wash and getting dried

    • Assisting you with having a shower or a bath

    • Toilet visits

    • Continence care/Catheter care/Stoma care

    • Oral hygiene

    • Hair care

    • Shaving

  • Item descriptionOur carers can support you with your medication needs, including:

    • Ordering your medication

    • Picking your medication up from your chosen pharmacy and bringing to you

    • Checking your medication stock

    • Prompting you to take your medication, for example from a dosset box

    • Administering your medication, whether they are in a blister pack or original packaging

    • Applying creams, medication patches, eye drops, ear drop

  • Ours carers can support you around the house with light household duties, which can include:

    • Washing up, drying up and putting away

    • Cleaning your kitchen

    • Cleaning the bathroom

    • Hoovering

    • Dusting

    • Putting your washing on

    • Hanging your washing up

    • Emptying your bins, put them out for rubbish collection

    • Preparing a meal of your choice

    • Heating up or cooking your meals

    • Serving your meals to you

    • Making you a drink of your choice/leaving you drinks out for the day

    • Monitoring your food and fluid intake daily.

  • We at Palm2Palm understand that being on your own for hours at a time can lead to loneliness and isolation. Our carers can come to you and keep you company, they can do activities with you, take you out for a few hours, have a cup of tea and cake or anything else you may wish to do. One of our carers can accompany you on a day out.

  • Our carers can assist you with writing your shopping list, going to your chosen supermarket and get your shopping for you, bringing it back and putting it away for you. If one of our carers goes shopping, we ask the carer to fill out a financial transaction form for both the carer to sign as well as yourself, with the receipt put with it. Our carers can also accompany you to the shops, whether that be to your local shop, a supermarket or going into town for some retail shopping.

  • We at Palm2Palm can accompany you to any appointments that you may have. We can also make appointments on your behalf with your consent.

  • Palm2Palm offer sleep nights or awake nights, one of our experienced and fully trained carers will stay with you all night and support you with your needs.

  • At Palm2Palm we offer respite care, so that your loved one can take a break, while you are looked after by one of our experienced and fully trained carers.

  • Palm2palm provide fully trained and experienced carers to support you in your own home and to remain independent. They will support you with your daily tasks and any specific needs.

  • One of our carers can support you by making sure your pet has enough food and water. They can assist you to exercise your pet and attend veterinary appointments (Private basis only).
